Questions about life-style and ‘green’ issues abound in our media. The Bible encourages sustainable living as we are called to be stewards of creation. The Mennonite Church has encouraged congregations and individuals towards living this out as well as funding exemplar projects and ministries to demonstrate this practically. How do we make this more fully our story – and then share it with others.
How do the Biblical narratives affirm an earth-friendly lifestyle? In what ways can we take small steps to become planet-wise in our living? In the sharing of both food and our stories in this day, we model more of what God is saying through his new community. Who are the contemporary prophets whom Christians should be heeding? What shape should our stories, communities, lives and worship take to reflect Jesus in this discipleship emphasis today?
Take a day to reflect biblically and personally with Andrew Francis, as well as hearing of new initiatives and others’ experiences, as we learn and share some answers to such life-giving questions.
