First Annual gathering of Anabaptist Network of Communities and Organisations

2 Oct 2010 - 10:00
2 Oct 2010 - 19:30
Dennis and Connie Byler
Cholmeley Church, London N6

This is the first opportunity to gather together representatives from the various groups that have joined the new Anabaptist network of communities and Anabaptist network of organisations. We hope that you will join us and that you will invite several others from your community or organisation to come too.

Below is the programme for the day, which includes two meals and plenty of time for conversation and making connections. There will be a bookstall and resource area, so please do bring along any resources or display material that others might find helpful.

Our guests for the day are Dennis & Connie Byler, long-term American Mennonite workers in Spain, who are involved with a network of new Mennonite churches there. We have invited them to tell us something of this story and to reflect with us on what it is that makes a community or organisation ‘Anabaptist’.

We will also be exploring the subject of ‘shalom’, asking how this central biblical theme can inspire and shape our organisations and communities. And we will be using resources from the Anabaptist prayer book to help us worship and pray. As for ‘speed networking’, it’s like speed dating without the romance or angst!

Do come! And bring others with you!

There will be no charge for the day, which the Anabaptist Network will fund, but if you are able to make a donation towards the costs, there will be an opportunity to do so.

To help us with the catering and planning, please let us know if you are coming and how many you are bringing with you. Contact stuart (at) murraywilliams.co.uk

Hope to see you there,

Noel Moules, Ali Phelps and Stuart Murray Williams
